Astrological Readings
It can be valuable to have one's birth chart interpreted by every good astrologer you encounter. While there will be an underlying commonality in what all of them see and share with you, each astrologer will be able to discern and articulate specific dimensions of the chart in a way that reflects his or her particular expertise, sensibility, and life experience. Multiple interpretations of the astrological birth chart are like multiple translations of great works of art. The poems of Rilke or Rumi, for example, are of such multivalent depth and mystery that every gifted translator brings forth something new and essential from the original, revealing new insights and levels of meaning — different facets of the jewel, different windows into the mystery, further blossomings of the original. The birth chart possesses the same depth and complexity of archetypal meaning. So if possible, have your astrological chart interpreted by every gifted astrologer who crosses your path. In a participatory universe, every true translator or astrologer brings particular qualities of experience and knowledge that provide essential vessels for the mystery's self-unfolding.Because of his full-time teaching commitments, Professor Tarnas is no longer able to do personal consultations. For a reading that would be as close as possible to what he would give, he highly recommends Matthew Stelzner, Chad Harris and Jessica Garfield-Kabbara, and Keiron Le Grice. They have all fully assimilated the archetypal perspective of Cosmos and Psyche, and their work is informed by depth psychology (transpersonal, archetypal, and Jungian). Matthew, Chad, Jessica, and Keiron have each taught guest lectures in Richard's graduate seminars. All four of them are founding faculty members of the Institute of Archetypal Cosmology, and are brilliantly insightful astrological counselors.
Matthew Stelzner
Matthew has been giving professional astrological consultations since 1997. He has worked for many years giving readings and teaching within Stan Grof's organization, Grof Transpersonal Training.
Matthew currently hosts an internet podcast called Correlations: The Archetypal Astrology Podcast, on which Richard is a semi-regular guest. The podcast can be accessed through his website.
Chad Harris and Jessica Garfield-Kabbara have been doing
joint archetypal astrological readings from their home office in San Francisco
since 2008. Focusing on natal chart and transit analysis their aim is to
empower their clients with the fullest capacity to embody and work with the
archetypal potentialities inherent in their birth chart. They also concentrate
on how to engage the unfolding activation of the natal chart in time relative
to one’s planetary transits.
Naturally enlisting both a masculine and feminine perspective they also
do synastry readings for couples. Chad has been studying astrology since 1995
and has been a teaching assistant for Richard Tarnas since 2004. Jessica has
been a practicing astrologer since 2007 and is in the Counseling Psychology
masters program at the Pacifica Graduate Institute.
Keiron is based in the UK, but often gives readings via Skype. His website address is keironlegrice.com and his email address is keironlegrice@gmail.com.

Keiron Le Grice
Keiron is the author of The Archetypal Cosmos: Rediscovering the Gods in Myth, Science and Astrology and editor of Archai: The Journal of Archetypal Cosmology.
He has studied astrology for over twenty years, assimilating the ideas of Dane Rudhyar, Stephen Arroyo, Liz Greene, and especially Richard Tarnas. His approach is significantly influenced by depth psychology, especially the work of C.G. Jung, Edward Edinger, and Stanislav Grof. He also draws on existential philosophy (especially Friedrich Nietzsche), Joseph Campbell’s work in mythology, the insights of mystical literature, and, above all, on the experience of the archetypes in his own life. He uses archetypal astrology as a tool to help illuminate an individual’s spiritual life journey, focusing on the process of psychological transformation that Jung called individuation.
